Founder's Circle Member Agreement
Last updated: October 21, 2026
The Founder's Circle (the "Circle") is 127's small, application-only group for committed founders, led by Eli Christiansen. This Agreement is between you and 127 Group LLC ("127", "we", "us"). It adds to our Terms of Service and Membership, Billing & Cancellation Terms, which also apply. If this Agreement conflicts with those documents on a Circle-specific topic, this Agreement controls.
You accept this Agreement by checking the box when you claim your Circle seat. Please read it, especially Sections 5 (fees and cancellation), 6 (recording and AI notes), 7 (confidentiality) and 10 (in-person gatherings).
The short version
- $299 a month plus any applicable tax, renewing monthly until you cancel. You can cancel online anytime; a call with Eli before you go is optional and never required.
- A weekly call with two hot seats (with four members, yours comes every other week), a weekly Scorecard, a Build Partner, a private group, call notes and two in-person gatherings a year. Group guidance, not one-to-one consulting, and no promised results.
- Calls are transcribed by an AI note-taker so we can send notes, and we don't keep video or audio. We'll always tell you when the note-taker is on.
- What members share stays in the room.
- You pay your own way to gatherings and take part at your own risk.
1. Eligibility and applications
- You must be at least 18 years old and an active 127 member in good standing.
- Seats are limited (currently 4) so every member gets real time. We review applications personally and accept members based on their stage, commitment, and fit with the group. We don't make decisions based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age or any other characteristic protected by law. You don't need to share our faith to join.
- Acceptance is at our discretion and is valid for [14] days. When you start checkout we hold your seat for 30 minutes. If the Circle is full, we'll offer you the next open seat in the order applications were approved.
2. What the Circle includes
While your Circle membership is active, you get:
- A weekly group call of about 45 minutes, led by Eli, by video. The current schedule is [Thursdays at 8pm ET, to be confirmed]. Each call has Scorecards (about 2 minutes each), two 13-minute hot seats, a rapid round and commitments for the next week. In a hot seat, one member brings a real decision and gets the room's questions, the members' takes and Eli's call. In the rapid round, the members not in a hot seat each get a quick question answered. Hot seats rotate, so with four members you get one every other week, and more often when there are fewer. You can give your turn to a member who needs it sooner, and then you go first the next week. Members can stay afterwards for an optional open table, which is never transcribed.
- A weekly Scorecard that you fill in before each call: last week's commitments (done or not done), your number for the week and what's in the way.
- A written recap within about 24 hours of each call (wins, decisions, commitments and next week's hot seats), prepared with the help of AI tools (see Section 6) and approved by Eli before it's sent.
- A Build Partner: another member you check in with between calls, without Eli.
- A private member group for Circle members to share progress between calls, on a third-party community app that we choose (currently [Discord, to be confirmed]).
- Two in-person gatherings a year ("Founder Days"; see Section 10).
- Everything in the Builder plan, with a higher monthly AI message allowance.
What the Circle is not. It's group guidance. It does not include one-to-one consulting, unlimited access to Eli, done-for-you work, introductions to investors or customers, funding, or legal, tax, accounting, financial or investment advice.
3. Schedule changes and missed calls
- We may move a call for holidays, travel or other reasons, and we'll give as much notice as we reasonably can.
- A call is never skipped without notice. If Eli can't make it, we'll move it to the next evening, or hold it as a member-led call with Eli's written answers to members' Scorecards and questions in the recap.
- Occasionally a guest or another 127 team member may co-host or host a call. Eli leads the Circle and will host the large majority of calls.
- If you miss a call, the written recap is your catch-up (we don't keep video). Missed calls aren't credited or refunded.
- Showing up. The Circle works when members come. If you miss two calls in a row, we'll check in; if you miss four in eight weeks, Eli will ask to talk about whether the Circle still fits. Nobody is removed automatically for missing calls.
4. How long it lasts
Your Circle membership runs month to month. It continues until you cancel, or until we end it under Section 11.
5. Fees, renewal and cancellation
- Price. $299 per month, plus any applicable sales tax. The founding Builder price does not apply to the Circle.
- Automatic renewal. Your Circle membership renews automatically every month at the then-current price, plus tax, charged to your payment method on file, until you cancel. We'll email you between 7 and 30 days before any price increase takes effect, with the new price and how to cancel, and you can cancel before it starts. If you're charged a new price and cancel within 14 days of that charge, we'll refund it in full.
- Upgrading from Builder. If you upgrade from a paid Builder plan, you're charged a pro-rated amount for the rest of your current billing month right away, and your Circle access starts once that payment succeeds.
- Founding members. If you have the founding Builder price and upgrade to the Circle, you keep your founding Builder price for later: if you switch back to Builder without ever cancelling, you'll pay your founding Builder price again. Cancelling ends it (see the Membership, Billing & Cancellation Terms).
- How to cancel. You can cancel anytime online from Billing in your account. You don't need to call, email, or talk to anyone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month; you keep Circle access until then, and then your account moves to the free plan unless you choose another paid plan.
- Optional exit call. If you'd like, you can book a short call with Eli before or after you cancel to talk through what's next. It's entirely optional, and it never delays or replaces online cancellation.
- Refunds. Fees are non-refundable except as stated here, in the Membership, Billing & Cancellation Terms, or where the law requires. If we end the Circle or remove you for a reason other than a violation of this Agreement or our Terms, we'll refund the unused part of your current month.
6. Recording, transcription and AI notes
- What we transcribe. We transcribe Circle calls with an AI note-taker, currently Granola, to prepare the written recap. We don't keep video or audio recordings of calls. The optional open table after the call, Build Partner check-ins and anything said off the record are never transcribed. We only use note-taking tools whose terms don't let the provider train its AI on our calls or create voiceprints of speakers.
- Your consent. By joining the Circle, you consent to the transcription and AI processing of Circle calls you attend, as described here. We'll also say at the start of each call when the note-taker is on. If you'd rather not be transcribed on a particular call, you can ask to go off the record, type in the chat instead of speaking, or skip that call and read the notes.
- Off the record. You can ask to go off the record for a hot seat or part of a call. We'll pause the note-taker and leave that part out of the recap.
- Who sees it. Transcripts are seen only by the people at 127 who prepare the recap. Recaps are shared only with current Circle members, and with the service providers that process them for us. We don't use them in advertising, marketing or public content without the separate written permission of every member who can be identified in them.
- How long we keep it. We delete full transcripts after [90] days. Recaps are kept while the Circle runs so members can look back on them. See our Privacy Policy.
- Your own recordings. Don't record, screenshot, transcribe or run your own AI note-taker on Circle calls or the private group without the consent of everyone present.
7. Confidentiality
- What's confidential. Anything another member shares in the Circle that isn't public, including their business ideas and plans, numbers, customers, struggles and personal matters ("Member Information").
- Your promise. Use Member Information only to take part in the Circle. Don't share it with anyone outside the Circle or use it for any other purpose, during your membership and for two years after it ends (and for as long as the information remains a trade secret).
- Exceptions. This doesn't cover information that is or becomes public through no fault of yours, that you already knew or independently develop, or that you receive lawfully from someone else without a duty of confidence. You may disclose information if the law or a court requires it, after giving the member notice if you lawfully can. You may always talk about your own information and experience, including posting an honest review of 127 or the Circle, as long as you don't reveal another member's information.
- What we promise. We treat Member Information the same way. We may use general, non-identifying lessons from Circle conversations (for example, the questions that come up most) to improve 127's content and tools, without revealing who said what or any member's confidential details.
- A practical warning. A group can't guarantee secrecy. Don't share anything in the Circle that would seriously harm you if it got out, such as trade secrets, passwords or account details. We don't sign separate non-disclosure agreements, and we aren't restricted from creating content on general topics members raise.
8. Ideas and intellectual property
- You keep ownership of your ideas, businesses and work, including anything you build with the Circle's help.
- 127 keeps ownership of its materials, frameworks, call formats and notes templates. You may use call notes and materials for your own business.
- Members sometimes have similar ideas. Unless they misuse your Member Information, members (and 127) are free to work on businesses and topics similar to yours.
9. Conduct
Our Community Guidelines apply to calls, the private group and gatherings. In addition:
- Come prepared, be on time, and give honest, respectful feedback.
- Don't use the Circle to sell to, recruit, or solicit money or investments from other members. Members are free to do business with each other by mutual choice outside the Circle; those dealings are solely between the members involved, and 127 isn't a party to them or responsible for them.
- Don't share other members' contact details outside the Circle without their permission.
10. In-person gatherings
- Plan. We plan to host two in-person gatherings each calendar year for active Circle members. We'll announce dates and locations at least [60] days ahead. Dates, locations, agendas and format may change.
- Who can attend. You must be an active Circle member on the gathering date. Guests aren't included unless we say so in writing. You must be 21 or older to drink alcohol at any 127 event, and you're responsible for drinking responsibly. Alcohol is served only by licensed venue or caterer staff. Before each gathering we'll ask you to sign a short event release and give emergency contact details.
- Costs. Unless we tell you otherwise in writing, you pay for your own travel, lodging, meals and incidentals. We cover the program costs of the gathering (such as the meeting space and scheduled sessions) [and the meals we list on the agenda].
- If plans change. If we cancel or move a gathering, we'll reschedule it or offer an alternative (which may be a virtual session). We're not responsible for travel or lodging costs you incur, so we recommend refundable bookings or travel insurance. There are no refunds or credits for gatherings you can't attend.
- Your participation and risk. Attending is voluntary. Travel and in-person activities carry risks, including illness, injury, property loss, and the actions of other people. You're responsible for your own health, safety, belongings and conduct, and for having any insurance you want. To the fullest extent the law allows, you assume those risks and release 127 Group LLC and its members, employees and contractors from claims arising from your travel to, attendance at or participation in a gathering, except claims caused by our gross negligence, willful misconduct, or anything else that can't legally be released. For certain activities (for example, physical or outdoor activities) we may ask you to sign a separate waiver.
- Accessibility and health. Tell us about any accessibility or dietary needs, and we'll do our best to accommodate them. Please stay home if you're contagious.
- Photos and video. We may take photos and video at gatherings. We'll ask your permission before using an identifiable image of you in marketing, and you can tell us at any time that you don't want to be photographed.
- Conduct. We may remove anyone from a gathering whose behavior is unsafe, unlawful, or violates this Agreement, without refund.
11. Removal and ending the Circle
- We may suspend or end your Circle membership if you break this Agreement, the Terms or the Community Guidelines, if your participation is seriously disrupting the group, or for safety or legal reasons. Where it's reasonable, we'll talk to you first.
- We may change or end the Circle program. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before ending it, unless that's impossible, and refund any unused part of your current month (see Section 5).
- If your Circle membership ends for any reason, your confidentiality promise (Section 7) continues.
12. No guarantees, no professional advice
The Circle is educational group guidance. We don't promise any income, revenue, funding, growth or other result. Feedback from Eli, other members, guests or AI tools is opinion, not legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment or other professional advice, and you're responsible for your own decisions. Members' results vary widely and depend mostly on factors we don't control. See our Earnings Disclaimer.
13. Faith
Eli may open a call or gathering with a short prayer or share how his faith shapes his work. Taking part is always optional, and members of every belief, and of none, are equally welcome.
14. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this Agreement. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of material changes by email. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect. Changes don't apply to calls or gatherings that have already happened.
15. Everything else
Disputes are handled under Section 20 of the Terms of Service (informal resolution first, then individual arbitration, with an opt-out). Everything not covered here is governed by the Terms.
